Loan watch: Pair involved in six-goal thriller

Tyreeq Bakinson grabbed a vital assist as Newport County struck late to rescue a point on Tuesday night.

Bakinson set up Jamille Matt in the 97th minute to earn them a 3-3 draw at home to Macclesfield. The visitors had taken a 2-0 lead, inside 11 minutes before Newport pulled the score back to 2-2 on the hour mark.

David Fitzpatrick scored an 82-minute penalty to put Macclesfield back in front but the game was far from done, as midfielder Bakinson provided Matt the latest of equalisers before the full-time whistle.

Antoine Semenyo also featured in the match while Cameron Pring was an unused substitute.

All three had featured in the Exiles' 4-2 win on Saturday v Cambridge United.

Jonny Smith starred in a 1-0 victory for Tranmere Rovers last night, while Shawn McCouslky came off the bench in Southend United's 2-1 away win at Burton Albion in League One.

And Saikou Janneh, Connor Lemonheigh-Evans, Jake Andrews and Opi Edwards all featured in Torquay United's 2-2 draw at home to Woking last weekend. The four loanees helped Gary Johnson's side fight back to earn a point after Woking had taken a 2-0 lead.

The match came off the back of their comfortable 7-0 FA Cup victory over Lymington Town at the weekend. Andrews grabbed himself a goal and assist in a man of the match display. Edwards also grabbed an assist.
