Loan watch: O'Leary earns Liverpool replay

Here's the latest report on City's stars out on loan.

Goalkeeper Max O’Leary helped Sky Bet League One outfit Shrewsbury Town earn a replay at Anfield as the Shrews battled back from 2-0 down in the Emirates FA Cup fourth round.

O’Leary made a handful of good stops to keep the hosts in the tie, with substitute Jason Cummings scoring a second-half brace to force the replay at the home of the world champions.

In League One, Sammie Szmodics scored his first goal of the season as Peterborough United ran out 2-1 winners over Rotherham United. He scored the Posh’s second the afternoon.

Bradley Webb helped Hungerford Town in their 1-0 win over Chelmsford City, while Jonny Smith starred for Oldham who were held to a 1-1 draw away to Salford.

Connor Lemonheigh-Evans and Robbie Cundy helped Torquay United to a point and a clean sheet in goalless draw with Ebbsfleet Town.

But there were defeats for Joe Morrell (Lincoln City), Rory Holden (Walsall), George Nurse (Newport County) and Sam Perason and Louis Britton (Bath City).
