George Nurse is enjoying the life of a Saddler on his season-long loan at the Banks’s Stadium.
The 21-year-old has regularly played 90 minutes back-to-back and scored a superb goal last week in the 1-1 draw against Bradford City. Walsall have now gone 13 league games unbeaten with Nurse starting the last eight.

Nurse is following a well-trod path for City’s loanees that has seen Rory Holden and Cameron Pring head to Bescot in recent years.
And, of course, there’s Robins Head Coach Dean Holden, who finished his playing career at Walsall before moving into coaching with the Saddlers.
“I had a taste of League Two last season at Newport but this season I want to cement myself in a team and get that consistent run of games,” said Nurse, who joined Bristol City as an Under-7.
“I’m played mostly at left back but the manager has given me freedom to play across the left side and I am really enjoying it.
“Tinns (Brian Tinnion, City Loans Manager) keeps in regular contact and checks on how I have been playing.”
Nurse scored one goal and two assists in League Two in 17 league appearances for Newport and that’s where Saikou Janneh is currently plying his trade, though a tight hamstring cut short Saturday’s appearance in the 3-0 win over Bradford City to put the Exiles top.
James Moreton played 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw for Grimsby over Carlisle United and is in contention for tomorrow’s trip to one of his former loan clubs, Forest Green Rovers. Owura Edwards is out injured with a knee injury.
Hakeeb Adelakun came off the bench for Hull City in a 2-1 home defeat to Peterborough United while Pring was unused sub as Portsmouth beat Sunderland 3-1.
The Matthew Bromley memorial basketball games will take place from 4pm on Saturday, May 28th at the SGS College Arena.
