Loan watch: Morrell back on the scoresheet

Here's the latest roundup of City players out in action across the football pyramid.

Joe Morrell’s winner on Saturday would be his first league goal for exactly two years and one day.

His goal secured Lincoln City their 3-2 win over Burton Albion in Sky Bet League One.

The wales international last scored on March 6th 2018 when on loan with Cheltenham Town.

Liam Walsh grabbed the assist as Coventry City beat Ipswich Town 1-0, while Tyreeq Bakinson played the full 90 minutes in Plymouth’s 3-0 win ver Mansfield Town.

Taylor Moore played his part in a clean sheet as Blackpool held Fleetwood to a 0-0 draw and Matty Taylor’s Oxford United edged Shrewsbury Town, with Max O’Leary on the losting team in the 3-2 scoreline.

In League Two, Rory Holden got Walsall up and running with his 3rd minute goal in a 3-1 win over Exeter City. Cameron Pring also played the full 90 minutes.

Antoine Semenyo played the last 10 minutes as Sunderland drew 2-2 with Gillingham but it was disappointment for Jonny Smith who played in Oldham Athletic’s 3-0 defeat to Crawley Town.

Connor Lemonheigh-Evans and Robbie Cundy were also on losing side in a 2-0 defeat to Sutton United, while Sam Pearson starred in Bath City’s 0-0 draw with Weymouth.

Sam Bell, Tommy Conway, James Taylor and Joe Low all featured for Yate Town but they suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat at the hands of Farnborough in Betvictor Southern League Division One South.
