Loan Watch: McCoulsky nets again for Exiles

Shawn McCoulsky has now netted in successive matches for Newport County.

Fresh from netting against Swansea City in the Checkatrade Trophy, the forward bagged the Exiles’ fourth goal in a 4-0 win at Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.

Scott Golbourne returned from a hamstring injury for MK Dons, but couldn’t stop his loan club from falling to a 2-0 loss at Portsmouth.

Taylor Moore and Joe Morrell were both involved as Cheltenham Town slipped to a 3-1 loss at Port Vale, while Freddie Hinds was a second-half substitute.

Diego De Girolamo featured for the final half hour as Chesterfield slumped to another defeat, this time at home to Morecambe, losing 2-0.

Jonny Smith was a late replacement for AFC Fylde, who beat Wrexham 1-0 to reach the Emirates FA Cup first round.

There was defeat for Harvey Smith and Ashley Harper on loan at Weston-super-Mare, who slipped up 2-0 at home to Welling.

Jojo Wollacott kept a clean sheet for Bath City as they held Chemsford City in the FA Cup.

Meanwhile, Gustav Engvall’s Djurgarden suffered a blow to their Allsvenskan title ambitions after losing 2-0 to Sirius.
