Shawn McCoulsky’s superb start to life at Newport County continued with a brace in the Carabao Cup last night.
The 20-year-old fired a last-gasp equaliser for the Exiles on Saturday, before making it three goals in two appearances for his loan club.
McCoulsky netted twice inside seven second-half minutes at Roots Hall to secure an impressive win for Newport.
Connor Lemonheigh-Evans (Bath City) and Jake Andrews (Chippenham Town) came up against one another in the National League South. Wales youngster Lemonheigh-Evans scored a penalty, but it proved nothing more than a consolation as Chippenham ran out 5-2 winners, with Andrews helping with an assist.
Elsewhere, Jonny Smith completed 90 minutes for AFC Fylde in their 1-1 draw at Chester.
Meanwhile, on Monday night, Aden Baldwin and Ashley Harper both featured for Weston-super-Mare in their 2-0 defeat at Hungerford Town.
