Loan watch: Janneh on form

Here's the latest report on City's stars out on loan.

Saikou Janneh scored twice in Torquay United’s 5-1 FA Trophy first round victory over Aldershot Town.

Janneh opened the scoring on seven minutes, adding his second in the final 10 minutes as the Gulls got back to winning ways.

Zak Smith helped Taunton Town in a seven-goal thriller, as they beat Metropolitan Police 4-3 in the Betvictor Southern League Premier Division South

Max O’Leary and Liam Walsh went head to head in League One, with O’Leary’s Shrewsbury Town finishing 2-1 winners, with former Robin Scott Golbourne on the scoresheet.

Joe Morrell played just under an hour for Lincoln City, helping the Imps beat Tranmere Rovers 1-0.

Cameron Pring came off the bench in Walsall’s 1-1 draw with Macclesfield Town, meanwhile, George Nurse helped Newport County earn a 1-1 draw with Stevenage and Louis Britton came off the bench in Bath City’s goalless draw with Wealdstone.

Matty Taylor featured in Oxford United’s 1-0 loss away to Millwall, their final preparation before facing off against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup quarter-final this week.

There was also defeat for Jonny Smith who featured in Oldham’s 2-0 loss to Swindon Town.
