Loan watch: Day's debut double

Here's the latest report on City's stars out on loan.

Marcus Day had a debut to remember for Paulton Rovers, who beat Bristol Manor Farm 4-2.

The striker scored a brace in their BetVictor Southern League Division One South fixture on Saturday.

In the Sky Bet League One, Joe Morrell starred in Lincoln City’s 2-0 win over Burton Albion, while Rory Holden came off the bench in Walsall’s 1-0 win over Port Vale.

Jonny Smith, pictured, scored inside two minutes to give Oldham Athletic the lead versus Leyton Orient. He raced down the wing before slotting the ball into the net, though Orient would equalise to hold on to a 1-1 draw.

Rory Holden came off the bench in Walsall’s 1-0 win over Port Vale, while in the BetVictor Premier Division South, Zak Smith helped Taunton Town to a 3-0 victory over Beaconsfield.

Max O’Leary and Matty Taylor went head to head in a goalless draw between Shrewsbury Town and Oxford United, while Louis Britton came off the bench in Bath City’s 0-0 draw with Wealdstone.

Bradd Webb made his Hungerford Town debut but they suffered a heavy 41 defeat away to Chelmsford.

Zak Vyner played 65 minutes in Aberdeen’s 3-0 loss to Hibernian, George Nurse was booked in Newport County’s 1-0 defeat to Bradford and Robbie Cundy was substituted in a 2-1 defeat for Torquay United at the hands of Harrogate Town.
