Loan watch: Bakinson stars on home debut

Here's the latest report on City's stars out on loan.

Tyreeq Bakinson starred for Plymouth Argyle as the Pilgrims saw off Mansfield 3-1 in Sky Bet League Two on Saturday.

The midfielder was unfortunate not to get on the scoresheet himself when he struck the post on his home debut.

But he stood out on his home debut, with Plymouth now sitting fourth in the table.

Hakeeb Adelakun was also on the winning side with Rotherham United who beat Bristol Rovers 3-0.

Liam Walsh helped Coventry City keep a clean sheet and three points in their 1-0 win over Doncaster Rovers, while it was a similar tale for Joe Morrell as Lincoln City beat Blackpool 1-0.

Robbie Cundy and Connor Lemonheigh-Evans were also on the winning side with Torquay United, who held on to beat AFC Fylde 3-2 away, while Rory Holden played his part in a 2-1 win for Walsall over Crawley Town.

Max O’Leary played the full 90 minutes as Shrewsbury Town battled to a 2-2 draw away to Fleetwood, while Jonny Smith grabbed his seventh goal of the campaign as Oldham were held to a 1-1 draw with Carlisle.

But Sammie Szmodics was on the losing side as AFC Wimbledon held out to beat Peterborough United 1-0 in Sky Bet League Two.

In the National League South, Sam Pearson and Louis Britton helped Bath City overcome Hemel Hempstead, but there was defeat for Hungerford Town and Bradley Webb who lost 3-2 away to Welling United.

Ryley Towler grabbed an assist in Taunton Town’s 3-0 win over Wimbourne Town.

And Lochlan Robertson’s Evesham United fell to a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Cinderford Town.
