Loan Watch: Andrews scores free kick stunner

Jake Andrews scored his first league goal as Cheltenham Town thrashed Swindon Town 3-0 on Saturday.

The youngster netted a stunning free kick in the County Ground rout, which also saw appearances for Taylor Moore and Joe Morrell.

Zak Vyner’s Plymouth Argyle earned another important point in their promotion push, drawing 1-1 at Fleetwood Town.

AFC Fylde are also chasing a play-off spot and did their cause no harm with a 7-1 drubbing of Aldershot, with Jonny Smith playing the final 17 minutes.

There has been no respite for Torquay United, beaten 1-0 at Maidstone on Saturday, with George Dowling and Connor Lemonheigh-Evans both featuring from the start.

Max O’Leary also tasted defeat, with the goalkeeper’s loan club Solihull Moors beaten 1-0 at Sutton United.

Weston-super-Mare, where Aaron Parsons and Ashley Harper are currently on loan, were beaten 3-1 at Hampton & Richmond.

Meanwhile, Opi Edwards has been recalled from his loan spell at Solihull Moors and rejoined Bath City for the remainder of the season.

Fresh from making his debut for the first team at Watford in January, Edwards joined the National League club, appearing four times as a substitute.

He now links up with Bath once more, having spent nine weeks with the Twerton Park club earlier in the season.

The Romans are just two points outside the National League South play-off zone.

Edwards is joined by Antoine Semenyo and James Morton at Twerton.
