Loan watch: An unbeaten weekend

Here's the latest roundup of City players out in action across the football pyramid.

Striker Matty Taylor was on hand to help Oxford United to the three points with victory over Ipswich Town in League Two.

Taylor’s goal in the 44th minute would prove to be the match winner, while Kayden Jackson’s 93rd minute sending off capped off a bad result for the Tractor Boys.

Winger Hakeeb Adelakun played an hour in Rotherham United’s 2-1 won over Accrington Stanley, while goalkeeper Max O’Leary kept a clean sheet for Shrewsbury Town, who beat Doncaster Rovers 1-0.

There were further victories for Liam Walsh as Coventry City overcame Rochdale 2-1 and defender Robbie Cundy helped Torquay United to a clean sheet in their 1-0 win National League victory Halifax Town.

Antoine Semenyo made a late substitutes appearance in Sunderland’s convincing 3-0 home win over Bristol Rovers, while Taylor Moore kept a clean sheet in Blackpool’s goalless draw with AFC Wimbledon.

It was a similar story for Tyreeq Bakinson who earned a point for Plymouth Argyle’s in their stalemate with Cambridge United.

Stroker Rory Holden played 90 minutes in Walsall’s 2-2 draw with Port Vale and Jonny Smith helped Oldham Athletic to a 2-2 draw with Leyton Orient.
