Hakeeb Adelakun went from weekend goalscorer to provider on Tuesday night, as he helped Hull City to a 3-0 win over Grimsby Town at the KCOM Stadium.
The winger started the League One match and set up the Tigersβ second goal of the game.
He dribbled into the box and managed to wriggle his way goalwards despite pressure, with his clipped effort towards the far corner nodded in by Martin Samuelsen.
Owura Edwards came off the bench for Grimsby but James Morton was an unused substitute.
Left-back Cameron Pring helped Portsmouth earn a point in their away League One fixture at Plymouth Argyle on Monday night. It was an entertaining affair on the south coast with an own goal, a penalty and two goals just two minutes apart, before Plymouth equalised with 12 minutes to go.
Pring was in the thick of the action, almost setting up a goal for the visitors, while also needing to make a superb clearance off the line to deny Ryan Hardie.
However, winger Jonny Smith was on the losing side as struggling Swindon Town were beaten 3-0 at home to Accrington Stanley.
Freddie Hinds has returned from his loan spell at Bath City.Β
