Marlon Pack has called on his teammates to find the winning formula when they take on Norwich City on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
City head into the Sky Bet Championship clash without a win since Boxing Day but they remain in the play-off positions, two points from second-placed Derby County.
The fixture comes off the back of City's 2-1 Carabao Cup first-leg semi-final defeat to Manchester City, a game where the Robins gave their hosts a competitive match.
Central midfielder Pack said: "The league is our main priority and focus so while all the plaudits off the back of Tuesday are great but the league is where we need go and perform week in, week out so the Norwich City game is key for us to do that."
WHAT HE SAID
"If Tuesday can't give us a lift for Saturday then there's something wrong."
Man City boss Pep Guardiola singled out Pack in his post-match press conference on Tuesday night, much to the delight of the Robins number 21.
Reflecting on the moment he told BCTV: "He (Guardiola) said I was a good player. I've hardly watched the video back...no that's a lie!
"It's great that a manager of that magnitude recognises myself as a player, It's what we all dream of. I think our gaffer (Lee Johnson) is a bit jealous - I've rubbed it in his face! It's great but the main focus now is Norwich City.
"We need to go out there with the same mentality as we did on Tuesday. I think everything intertwines with what we are trying to do; our work rate and enthusiasm has been great and if Tuesday can't give us a lift for Saturday then there's something wrong.
"It's down to us as players and for everyone to get behind us to get back to winning ways in the league."
Chris Vui and Charles Piutau were in action in the opening round of the Pacific Nations Cup, with Tonga beaten by Fiji and Samoa edging out Australia A.
