Lee Johnson reverts to the same line-up who started the recent draws with Brentford and Millwall as City host Aston Villa under the lights at Ashton Gate (7.45pm).
The head coach admitted he was tempted to make changes after making nine alterations for the midweek Carabao Cup win at Watford.
But none of the players who came into the side at Vicarage Road keep their shirts.
The only change from the 18-man squad named against Millwall is that Aden Flint replaces Jens Hegeler on the bench.
Bristol City: Fielding, Pisano, Wright, Baker, Bryan, Brownhill, K.Smith, Pack, Paterson, Reid, Diédhiou. Subs: Lucic, Flint, Magnusson, O’Neil, Eliasson, O’Dowda, Woodrow.
Aston Villa: Johnstone, Chester, Samba, Terry, Taylor, Elmohamady, Whelan, Hourihane, Green, Onomah, Davis. Subs: Steer, Bree, Bjarnason, Lansbury, Adomah, Agbonlahor, Hogan.
Referee: Mr G Eltringham.
