City Women striker Lauren Hemp was voted the Vauxhall England Young Player of the Year on Friday evening, at the annual FA Awards held at Wembley.
Hemp, 17, won the award ahead of three fellow players who were selected based on their performances for club and country.
The young striker, who joined the Vixens after enrolling at SGS College, is now a regular in Willie Kirk’s first team squad having featured regularly in the Spring Series, scoring some crucial goals.
Everyone at the club would like to place on record our sincere thanks for those of you that voted for Lauren and everyone at the club would like to congratulate Lauren on this fantastic achievement.
