Lansdown Club Members Keep Spirits High In France

Aztech Building Services have been doing their bit for England at Euro 2016.

Managing director Chris Jenkins has been out in France to support Roy Hodgson’s men, attending England’s 2-1 win over Wales in Lens.

While some supporters may have attracted negative press for the tournament, Jenkins and his business colleagues from Aztech Building Services have been doing just the opposite.

He roped in some local CRS Police for a photograph in Lens alongside his beloved Bristol City flag.

Going by the smiles on the faces of those in the picture, it’s clear to see Anglo-French relations are extremely positive!

Jenkins said: “A group of seven of us went to Lens, five of which from the Axtech offices, and we had a great time. There’s been so much bad publicity, but we didn’t see any trouble, in fact the England and Welsh fans were mixing freely in Lens.

“The CRS Police in the photo may have looked menacing with their guns, but one of them actually approached me on seeing my Bristol City flag. It turns out his son follows the team and wanted some memorabilia so I decided to give him my flag in exchange for a picture.”

England complete their Group B campaign against Slovakia in Saint Etienne this evening (Monday, 8pm) knowing a draw will be enough to guarantee their passage into the knockout stages.

Watch all the events unfold in the Sports Bar & Grill at Ashton Gate. The South Stand concourse will also be open for supporters, with season card discounts available on all food and drink.
