Lloyd Kelly earned a fifth cap for England Under-20s in a narrow 2-1 defeat at the hands of Germany last night.
The City defender, who came through the club’s Academy setup, came on in the 75th minute of the game in Zwickau.
Kelly was called up to Keith Downing’s squad for the first time in September and is fast becoming a mainstay in the team.
Meanwhile, Callum O’Dowda, Hordur Magnusson and Joe Morrell were all unused substitutes for their countries on the same evening.
O’Dowda’s Republic of Ireland suffered a heartbreaking 5-1 defeat at home to Denmark, despite taking an early lead in Dublin. It means Ireland won’t be heading to Russia next summer.
Magnusson’s Iceland drew 1-1 with Qatar in Doha, while Morrell’s Wales Under-21s were held to a goalless draw by Romania.
With just a few days to go until Elton John plays at Ashton Gate, concert-goers are urged to take advantage of special event Shuttle Buses laid on to help get fans to and from the stadium.
