Johnson Shortlisted For Award

Lee Johnson has been shortlisted for the April Manager of the Month award.

The City head coach led his side to four wins and a draw to secure Sky Bet Championship safety with a game to spare.

The EFL says: “After seeing his side lose their first two games of April by a combined 0-7 scoreline, he galvanised his players superbly, inspiring them to four wins in an unbeaten five-game run which included securing safety at Brighton.”

Johnson is up against Sheffield Wednesday boss Carlos Carvahal, Burton Albion’s Nigel Clough and Fulham head coach Slavisa Jokanovic.

The winner will be announced tomorrow.
