Lee Johnson insists his players won’t underestimate Fleetwood Town in tomorrow’s Emirates FA Cup third round tie at Ashton Gate (3pm).
The Trawlermen are the in-form side of Sky Bet League One, currently on an unbeaten run of 11 games which has guided them into a play-off place.
City, meanwhile, are out to end a six-match losing streak and progress into the fourth round of the competition in the process.
“They’re dangerous,” he told Bristol City Player HD of opponents Fleetwood.
“They’re very bright up front, with some players who can turn a game on its head.
“There’s (David) Ball and (Ashley) Hunter is up there too, he’s a good little player. Devante Cole is very quick over the top.
“Their attacking players are very good, but we’re relishing the battle and we’ll be ready for it.”
Bosnian international Milan Djuric and German recruit Jens Hegeler could be involved for the first time, if clearance is received from FIFA.
Johnson added: “I’m looking forward to getting back out there. Every game is an opportunity to improve.
“We can blood a couple of new players if international clearance allows, and it gives players a chance to stake a claim.
“We need to be full of positivity because we need a result. It’ll be a tough game, but we do believe in ourselves.”
Gary O’Neil remains on the sidelines, while there are other unnamed injury concerns in the camp.
City fans will be able to pay on the day for the clash with Fleetwood, with adult prices set at £10, £5 for concessions. A £1 fee applies on top of ticket prices on the day.
