Johnson: Players responding well after frustrating Burton draw

Lee Johnson speaks to BCTV ahead of City's home match against Leeds United.

Lee Johnson's squad have reacted positively after their frustrating 0-0 draw against Burton Albion last Friday.

City enjoyed total domination against the Championship strugglers but were unable to find a breakthrough and even had a Bobby Reid goal ruled out.

They will be hoping for better fortunes when they return to Ashton Gate for their next fixture against Leeds United on Saturday.

Speaking ahead of the game, City head coach Johnson told BCTV: "They [the players] have been good this week. We tried not to be too negative in the dressing room on Friday and that carries through to Monday morning and the lads were good.

"We didn’t do any video nasty, we just went straight went into working on the bits that we need to improve on as a team. There have been some good signs this week and it’s been good to get everybody back and settled after the international break; getting people back in their own beds and get into a consistent groove and they have had a good few days training.

"They’re off on Thursday to be sharp on Friday for the big game against Leeds come Saturday."
