City’s pre-season kicks off today (July 6th) with their annual community match, which this year is against the Western League Premier Division side Hallen F.C.
The fixture is an important occasion on the City calendar as it not only marks the beginning of another pre-season for the team, but it also provides an opportunity for the whole squad to take to the pitch.
The match also provides an opportunity for the club to directly support both a grassroots club and the Robins official charity, the Bristol City Community Trust.
All proceeds from the fixture will be split evenly between the Trust and Hallen.
The fixture takes place at Hallen’s home ground, the Hallen Centre, with any remaining tickets being available to purchase on the day (note the whole day is strictly cash only).
The Trust will be at the ground from 1pm tomorrow hosting a number of, free of charge, fun activities for supporters to get involved with ahead of kick off at 3pm.
Bristol City Head Coach Lee Johnson:
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Hallen FC for hosting this fixture – they are a fantastic local club.
"The proceeds generated from the Community Match will be equally split between our Bristol City Community Trust and Hallen FC.
"The Community Trust work tirelessly 365 days of the year, making a positive impact through the city to participants of all ages and backgrounds.
"The Trust will invest the funds into their award-winning project delivery and educational courses, while Hallen will benefit from a financial boost and reinvest into grassroots football.”

The Matthew Bromley memorial basketball games will take place from 4pm on Saturday, May 28th at the SGS College Arena.
