Lee Johnson admits Tammy Abraham is more likely to return for Saturday’s showdown with Wigan Athletic, rather than tomorrow night’s home game with Norwich City.
The City head coach has been without his 21-goal top scorer since he limped out of the defeat at Leeds United with a thigh injury last month.
Johnson says Abraham is “60/40 against” being ready for a return against Norwich when they visit Bristol tomorrow evening.
He told Bristol City Player HD: “I'll be speaking to Chelsea later on today to get the latest on Tammy. As things stand, it is looking unlikely for tomorrow.
"I would say it is 60/40 against him being back with us. But if there is any chance at all that he can come back and be on the bench for us, then we will do that."
Mark Little remains absent with a hamstring injury, while Johnson reported “a couple of niggly injuries that could affect team selection” at his morning press conference.
The players were given Sunday off to recover from a busy week, where they made trips to Newcastle United and Aston Villa before returning to Ashton Gate for the goalless draw with Burton Albion.
