Johnson eyes "first six-pointer"

Lee Johnson has described Saturday’s clash with Middlesbrough in the Sky Bet Championship as a “six-pointer”.

City currently occupy the play-off zone going into the Sky televised encounter, five points ahead of Boro, who are seventh.

Johnson is well aware that victory could push his team eight points clear of the chasing pack, dependent on results elsewhere.

He said: “It’s an interesting one because Saturday is probably our first six-pointer of the season, given where the two clubs are.

“We know we can move eight points clear of Boro with a victory, which is a big margin at this stage of the season. They’ll look at it with the aim of cutting the gap to two points.

“It’s an early evening game under the lights, the Sky Sports cameras are in town and we’re looking forward to it.”

Tickets remain on general sale by calling 0117 963 0600 or online.
