"Johnson Cup" to return in pre-season

City will face Cheltenham Town in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday, July 10th.

Due to pitch renovations at Cheltenham’s Whaddon Road, the fixture will be played at Weston-super-Mare’s Woodspring Stadium.

Lee Johnson has overcome his dad’s League Two outfit in the past two years, ensuring the “Johnson Cup” has maintained its pride of place on the City side of the family mantlepiece - something Johnson senior will be eager to change.

Ticket prices are yet to be confirmed.

City’s pre-season schedule so far:

  • Sunday, July 8th (2pm) v Bitton AFC (A)
  • Tuesday, July 10th (7.30pm) v Cheltenham Town (N)
  • Wednesday, July 11th (7.30pm) v Newport County (A)
