Lee Johnson has used Christmas to galvanise his players in a bid to improve form on the pitch.
Defeat at home to Preston North End on Saturday was their sixth in seven Sky Bet Championship matches, leaving City in 16th position.
But ahead of the Boxing Day trip to Wolves (3pm), Johnson has arranged a number of team bonding events to bring the group together.
“All the players, their families and kids went to Avon Valley earlier in the week for the Christmas night,” he told Bristol City Player HD.
“We haven’t been feeling too chipper recently due to the results, so it was nice to get everyone together because we’re one big family.
“The players also went along to Children’s Hospice South West at Charlton Farm this week to meet the kids and deliver some presents.
“I think our team spirit is good. We’re a good side in a tough league and we have to bring out our best bits.
“We’re working hard on accentuating our positives, as well as trying to improve on our negatives.”
City sit two points ahead of Boxing Day hosts Wolves, who recently appointed Paul Lambert to the helm.
“He certainly knows the division,” added Johnson about the new Wolves chief. “He’s managed in the Premier League. He was a top player and is a good manager.”
It’s an all-ticket match for City fans, who have until 2pm tomorrow (Friday) to purchase.
