Job vacancy: Primary Stars Coach

We are pleased to be able to offer an exciting opportunity to work within the coaching department at the Bristol City Community Trust.

The position is part-time from September 2019 and the successful candidate will report directly to the Primary Stars Lead Coach, while working closely with other members of the coaching department.

Your Main Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering BCCT coaching sessions in schools, including the Premier League Primary Stars project.
  • Enhance teachers' knowledge, skills and confidence to improve the provision of PE and school sport.
  • Increase children's enjoyment, participation and skills in competitive and non-competitive sports and other physical activities.
  • Enhance children's understanding of, interest, and confidence in English and maths.
  • Support young people to further participation pathways within sport.

You will have:

  • A minimum of an FA Level 2 in football coaching (preferably AfPE Level 3).
  • FA Emergency first aid and FA safeguarding children certificates.
  • The ability to work as part of a team, whilst having the ability to lead on own initiative.
  • The ability to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work unsociable hours and weekends.
  • The skills to deliver dynamic, challenging lessons and coaching sessions to inspire students, and ensure they make rapid and sustained progress at all levels.

We would also like you to have

  • Experience in football development, delivery in schools and community engagement.
  • Previous experience in developing and supporting coaches or teachers.
  • Full UK driving licence.

This position is part time (22.5 hours per week) from September 2019, candidates must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
