📣 Job Vacancy: Prep Chef

City is looking for a Prep Chef to work in our busy kitchen at the Robins High Performance Centre. 

The Robins High Performance Centre is a state-of-the-art training facility based in Failand where Bristol City first team, Academy and women's team train.

It's a busy environment and we all work relentlessly to deliver great service so that our teams can work on their on-pitch successes.

This is a lower-level chef role and you'll be an invaluable member of our kitchen team, playing a vital role in making sure our kitchen prep is always done and the kitchen runs smoothly.

Duties and responsibilities of a Prep Chef:

A Prep Chef assists a section chef, also know as a Chef de Partie. The role is made up of many varying responsibilities including:

  • Assisting in the food preparation process
  • Cooking and preparing elements of high quality dishes
  • Preparing vegetables, meats and fish
  • Preparing a range of daily sandwiches, baguettes and wraps for athletes and staff
  • Delivering the City Women's post match meal on match days
  • Assisting other chefs
  • Covering the Kitchen Porter role on two afternoons
  • Helping with deliveries and restocking
  • Assisting with stock rotation and cleaning stations
  • Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards

There are no specific qualifications required, but a good general secondary education is useful and we are also looking for someone with a willingness to learn with a positive outlook who can join our team behind the team.

This is a part time roles and the working hours are 30 hours per role;

We do on occasion ask for flexibility in these hours as in football things can change quickly so the kitchen needs to accommodate this to keep things running smoothly.

As the job is situated on Clevedon Road in Failand it would be ideal if the applicant has own transport.
