📣 Job Vacancy: Men's Lead Performance Analyst

Bristol City are seeking an experienced and qualified individual as Men's Lead Performance Analyst ahead of the 2022/23 Sky Bet Championship campaign.

Overview:

  • Bristol City Men's Lead Performance Analyst
  • Bristol City Football Club
  • Full time - Based at the Robins High Performance Centre and other sites as required. National travel is an essential requirement for the role
  • Salary: Competitive depending on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver robust and effective analysis processes and protocols in line with the coaching staff and club philosophy.
  • Attend all Bristol City fixtures home and away to facilitate the performance analysis provision.
  •  Review / analyse (Hudl Sportscode, Wyscout, Statsbomb and Tableau) upcoming opposition to prepare detailed pre-match information packs and meetings for both coaches and players.
  • Use analysis processes and products such as Hudl Sportscode and Coach Paint to create bespoke and engaging pre and post-match team/unit/individual meetings for players and coaches.
  • Collaborate with the analytics department to integrate pre and post-match trend reporting to provide insight into opposition & team performance.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with the Academy analysts, aiding the player pathway for academy players.
  • Oversee and manage our online sharing platform to ensure this is up to date and engaging for our players and coaching team.
  • Ensure all analysis equipment and processes are set up on a match day including but not limited to - live capture, multi angle capture and Hudl Replay.
  • Create and manage video & statistical databases to inform and support the feedback process throughout the season.
  • Work alongside senior management to review and keep up to date the club’s performance analysis software provisions and ensure the best use of our technology across the First Team.
  • Recommend use of analysis budgets to ensure the department has the necessary equipment and resource.

Skills and Experience: 

  • Educated to degree level, preferably in Performance Analysis, Sport-Science or Coaching.
  •  Preferably educated to Masters level in Performance Analysis.
  • Extensive experience of professional football and performance analysis in a similar role.
  •  Highly competent using software such as Hudl Sportscode, Hudl Replay, Coach Paint. 
  • A team player who fits in with the values and work ethic of the club. Committed, punctual and professional.
  • A strong understanding of how analytics can impact the assessment of performance.
  • A proactive and innovative approach for problem solving and working under pressure.
  • Good communication skills and able to build effective relationships across departments. 
  • A flexible approach to work and comfortable working outside normal office hours (weekends, evenings, and bank holidays).
