John Griffiths has named his 20-player England squad to compete in the UEFA Women’s Under-17s Championship finals in Lithuania next week.
The Young Lionesses have been drawn in Group B and their first match is against Poland on Wednesday, May 9th, Spain on Saturday, May 12th, followed by Italy three days later on Tuesday, May 15th.
Group A comprises Germany, Netherlands, Finland and the host nation Lithuania. The top two teams in each group will make it through to the semi-finals.
England had to come through two rounds of qualifiers to get to this stage.
They defeated Latvia (10-0), Slovakia (6-0) and Scotland (3-0) last October and then saw off Switzerland (4-0) and Norway (2-0) after opening their elite round group with a goalless draw with Slovenia.
