It's Pring time with contract extension

City defender Cameron Pring has signed a two-year contract extension until June 2021.

The Robins also have an additional one-year option for the 20-year-old, who can play left back, wing back and midfield and last week joined Cheltenham Town on loan for the rest of the season.

Pring is delighted to have put pen to paper on his new contract, saying: “I’m buzzing to get it sorted. It’s great to have that security and I can focus on getting first-team football and experience.”

Now on his fifth loan since joining City in 2016, Pring added: “I’m enjoying it here at Cheltenham and have already played 90 minutes. Hopefully I’ll be involved against Tranmere Rovers on Saturday.”

That could be an interesting contest between Pring and Jonny Smith on the right side of the Tranmere attack.
