It's A Good Place To Be - Estcourt

Charlie Estcourt is relishing the opportunity to pull on a Bristol City Women’s shirt when they take on Oxford United at Stoke Gifford Stadium tomorrow evening (6pm).

The midfielder joined on a short-term loan from Reading in time to be included in boss Willie Kirk’s matchday squad.

Estcourt began training the Vixens at the beginning of the week and is excited to contribute to the club’s promotion push.

“It’s a really exciting place to be at the moment and I’m really looking forward to the challenge,” she said.

“It’s a big thing to be at a club that’s competitive and fighting at the top of the league. They’ve got training everyday and facilities are great - it’s a good place to be.

"Hopefully I can bring something to help take Bristol City back to WSL1.”

Estcourt adds a vast amount of experience to the City ranks despite being just 18-years-old.

The youngster has become a regular with Wales after making her international debut in 2014 and hopes her form for City Women will aid her selection for her country.

"I made my Wales senior debut last season when I was 16 and I’ve been in every squad since,” she said.

"It’s the best feeling representing your country and hopefully I can do it for many more years."
