International Watch: June 2021

City have four players in action for their countries during the June international window.

Below details each player called up for international duty and those respective fixtures.

Ádám Nagy (Hungary)

Nagy played 90 minutes for Hungary as they drew 0-0 with the Republic of Ireland in Budapest, in what was their final preparation match before their first European Championships Group F game. 

Nagy was substituted in the 90th minute of that opening fixture, with opponents Portugal running out 3-0 winners. 

The City midfielder then completed Hungary's second group match against France, which ended 1-1. 

Tomas Kalas (Czech Republic)

Kalas played 90 minutes for the Czech Republic in their 3-1 win against Albania in Prague – the final warm-up game before their opening European Championships Group D game against Scotland. 

The central defender played the full game at Hampden Park in the 2-0 win, as Czech Republic secured three points in their opening Euro fixture. 

Czech Republic's then faced Croatia which finished 1-1, with Kalas again completing the full 90 minutes. 

Marlee Francois (Australia Under-23s)

Francois came off the bench to make his Olyroos debut in Marbella. The 18-year-old featured against Republic of Ireland who secured the 2-1 win despite Ramy Najjarine netting a stunning strike for the young Australians. He was also a substitute in a narrow 1-0 loss to Romania.

Australia Under-23s face then suffered a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Mexico in the final fixture of their Marbella Training camp, with the City youngster named on the bench. 

Sam Pearson (Wales U21s)

Fresh from signing a new three-year City deal Pearson come off the bench for Wales Under-21s in the UEFA Championship Qualification tie with Moldova which ended 0-0 on Friday, June 4th.
