International Watch: June 2021

City have four players in action for their countries during the June international window.

Below details each player called up for international duty and those respective fixtures.

Ádám Nagy (Hungary)

Nagy played 90 minutes for Hungary as they drew 0-0 with the Republic of Ireland in Budapest on Tuesday evening. This was their final preparation match for their Group F game against Portugal in Budapest (Tuesday, June 15th, 7pm KO).

Tomas Kalas (Czech Republic)

The City captain played 90 minutes for the Czech Republic in their 3-1 win against Albania in Prague on Tuesday evening – the final warm-up game before the opening European Championships Group D game against Scotland at Hampden Park on Monday, June 14th (2pm KO).

Marlee Francois (Australia Under-23s)

Francois came off the bench to make his Olyroos debut in Marbella. The 18-year-old featured against Republic of Ireland who secured the 2-1 win despite Ramy Najjarine netting a stunning strike for the young Australians. He was also a substitute in a narrow 1-0 loss to Romania.

The Australia Under-23s face Mexico on June 12th. The match against Saudi Arabia on June 5th was cancelled due to a COVID-19 concern unrelated to the Australian team.

Sam Pearson (Wales U21s)

Fresh from signing a new three-year City deal Pearson come off the bench for Wales Under-21s in the UEFA Championship Qualification tie with Moldova which ended 0-0 on Friday, June 4th.
