International watch - Engvall's Sweden victorious

Gustav Engvall came off the bench in Sweden Under-21s' comfortable 4-0 win against Malta Under-21s.

The City striker, 22, was an 83rd-minute substitute who replaced Carlos Strandberg in the 2019 UEFA European Championship qualifier.

Strandberg had earlier scored a brace, after Joel Anderrson gave Roland Nillson's side the lead. Jordan Larrson struck the fourth goal from the penalty spot in the 79th minute, to complete the scoring.

The result leaves Sweden U21s top of their group.

Elsewhere, City defender Hordur Magnusson was an unused substitute in Iceland's 2-2 friendly draw with Ghana.
