International watch: City call-ups confirmed for October

Keep an eye on how City’s players fare during this month’s international action.

Tomas Kalas

Tomas Kalas played the full 90 minutes in a 2-2 draw with Wales in Prague on Friday night (October 8th) but he was an unused substitute in a 2-0 win over Belarus.

Alex Scott

Scott was called up to England’s Under-19 squad, for three friendlies.

The young Lions played France (Wednesday, October 6th, 3pm), but lost 3-1 with Scott playing the full 90 minutes. Scott was then an unused substitute in a 3-1 win over Mexico ahead of their final test against Belgium (Tuesday, October 12th, 3pm).

Callum Wood

There’s also a triple round of 2022 UEFA Under-19 EURO Qualifying Round action for Wales Under-19s.

Callum Wood made his debut for Rob Edwards’ side who drew 0-0 with Georgia (Wednesday, October 6th, 4pm). He was a substitute, coming off the bench late in the game. He started in a 5-0 defeat to Norway Under-19s. Up next are Kosovo (Tuesday, October, 12th 3pm).

Sam Pearson

Sam Pearson played 67 minutes in Wales Under-21s’ UEFA Under-21 EURO 2023 Qualifying Round defeat to Moldova on Friday (October 8th).

They now travel to face the Netherlands in another qualifying match (Tuesday, October 12th, 8pm).
