Injured Baker is 50/50 for Fulham clash

City defender Nathan Baker remains an injury doubt for Tuesday night's trip to Craven Cottage.

The big defender returned from a knee injury to start in Saturday's 2-1 victory at Sunderland, only to suffer a recurrence midway through the first half to force his substitution.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, assistant head coach Jamie McAllister reported: "He's probably 50/50 at this stage.

"He just hurt his knee again during a challenge  and we hope it's not too bad, but we'll just have assess it before tomorrow."

City flew to and from the North East, allowing the players optimum preparation for their visit to Craven Cottage tomorrow night.

McAllister said: "There can be no excuses at all. The plane had us back in Bristol by 8pm on Saturday, allowing the players to rest and recover properly.

"It's important that we do these things, the little one per cents, it all adds up."
