Liverpool Ladies have completed the signing of Bristol Academy and Wales captain, Sophie Ingle.
Ingle joined Bristol two years ago from Chelsea Ladies and has been an integral part of the team ever since, playing in the club’s historic win over Barcelona in the Champions League at Ashton Gate and replacing Grace McCatty as the club’s captain in 2015.
Manager Willie Kirk thanked Ingle for her efforts since his appointment earlier in the year: “I had a tough task of appointing a new captain on my arrival, and I chose Sophie.
"She was a great help to me both on and off the pitch and I thoroughly enjoyed working with her as a footballer and as a person. I am sure that she will be a success at Liverpool and she leaves with my best wishes.”
