In brief: Pre-West Bromwich Albion (A)

Assistant head coach Dean Holden and Jack Hunt look ahead to City's away fixture with West Bromwich Albion.

Below is a summary of what he had to say ahead of Saturday's (September 15th, 3pm kick-off) Sky Bet Championship clash.

DEAN HOLDEN

  • Holden says that while squad morale is high, he stressed the importance of the players not getting ahead of themselves
  • Consistency is key - he said that the day-to-day, behind the scenes preparation has remained the same since the first day of the season
  • Holden also reflected on City's last game against Sheffield United, saying the second-half changes gave the Robins a strong hold on the game
  • He was asked about the 3-5-2 system and said the players are more than capable of adapting to new situations
  • Holden said both he and Lee Johnson watched West Brom in action last Friday and said they look dangerous in attack
  • He praised the City squad’s strength in depth and expects more players back from injury over the next few weeks
  • With 1,500 fans travelling tonight, Holden said the away support can have an incredible effect on the players and they can help them get over the line

JACK HUNT

  • Hunt is really enjoying his football in BS3 and says he has settled in well
  • The right-back is pleased with the current form but reiterates the squad won't get carried away
  • "Everyone is really focused on the task ahead" said Hunt, as the team look to secure their fifth-straight win
  • City have done their homework on West Brom and believes if he and his teammates are on top of their game they can "cause a lot of problems."
  • Hunt is looking forward to seeing 1,500+ away fans at The Hawthorns and insists their support can give the team an "extra boost"

City supporters are able to pay on the night at The Hawthorns, with 1,500+ travelling fans already heading to the fixture.
