In brief: Pre-Nottingham Forest press conference

Lee Johnson met the media ahead of Saturday's Sky Bet Championship clash with Nottingham Forest.

The head coach answered questions from the local and national press along with Bobby Reid.

Here's what they had to say:

LEE JOHNSON

- Korey Smith hopeful of being fit for Saturday's game

- Johnson pleased with how well the players have adapted to changes of shape and position when required during this spell of numerous injuries in the camp

- Head coach watched Forest in action last weekend and says they are a good footballing team

- Boss insists the focus is firmly on Nottingham Forest and not Wednesday's cup clash with Manchester United

- Johnson jokes City may have to play Aden Flint up front when Famara Diédhiou and Milan Djuric are both out

- On Diédhiou, Johnson hopes the Senegal international will return in mid-January

- Johnson says he's focusing on football and allowing "the powers that be" to deal with contract discussions for players

BOBBY REID

- Midfielder says confidence is very high in the camp, adding: "Everyone is buzzing right now"

- Reid says none of the players are discussing the Manchester United game and everyone's focus is on Nottingham Forest

- Bristolian proud of how well the team is doing

- Reid jokes that he needs more ideas for GIFs for future goals

- Asked about his own contract, Reid insists his full focus is on a busy football schedule and important games right now
