In brief: Pre-Middlesbrough press conference

Jamie McAllister met the media ahead of Saturday's Sky Bet Championship clash with Middlesbrough in BS3 (5.30pm kick-off).

The assistant head coach answered questions from the local and national press along with defender Aden Flint.

Here's what they had to say:

Aden Flint spoke to the media today


- Flint admits recent performances "haven't been great" but says team spirit has secured key results

- Defender says squad depth is key with the injuries in the camp

- Flint not fazed by the early evening kick-off, but adds: "I enjoy a game under the lights at Ashton Gate."

- "Boro have experience all over the pitch," says Flint

- "We're broadcasting ourselves to the nation, even the world, when you're live on Sky and we want to put on a performance," adds the defender

- Flint says incentive of moving eight points clear of Boro is huge for the team

- "We've got three big games before Manchester United come here so our focus has to be on the league games...United has to be put to the back of our minds," says Flint
