In brief: Pre-Manchester City home press conference

Lee Johnson has met the media ahead of City's Carabao Cup semi-final second leg clash with Manchester City.

The head coach answered questions from the local and national press along with winger Jamie Paterson.

Here's what they had to say:

LEE JOHNSON

- Frank Fielding will have a scan on his groin to determine the extent of the damage caused at Derby County.

- Nathan Baker sat out of training on Monday and will have a fitness test on the morning of the game.

- Johnson says he's only looked back at the first leg from an analytical point of view, but adds: "I'm told there were a lot plaudits for our team."

- Johnson aware of Man City's "abundance of riches" and admits he's unsure of the team Pep Guardiola will pick.

- Head coach says City's players have had a taste of these occasions against Man Utd and from the first leg, so should relish tomorrow's tie.

- Johnson can expects a big atmosphere and says 22,000 free flags being handed out will only add to the spectacle.

JAMIE PATERSON

- Paterson says the players take a great deal of confidence from their first-leg display.

- Ex-Man Utd trainee says late goal "knocked us".

- Winger says: "We've done unbelievably well to get this far and if we give 100%, who knows what can happen?"

- Paterson jokes that Marlon Pack hasn't stop mentioning the praise he received from Pep Guardiola after the first leg.

- Winger adds: "I'm proud to play with this set of lads...we all work so hard for each other."

- Paterson confident the atmosphere will be even better than it was against Manchester United.
