In brief: Pre-Cardiff City press conference

Lee Johnson met the media ahead of Saturday's Sky Bet Championship clash with Cardiff City at Ashton Gate.

The head coach answered questions from the local and national press along with club captain Bailey Wright.

Here's what they had to say:

LEE JOHNSON

- Eros Pisano will have a scan late on Thursday to assess the full extent of his hamstring injury

- Nathan Baker is recovering well from his knee injury but Saturday may come too soon

- Head coach knows what to expect from Cardiff, who have one of the lowest 'ball in play' stats

- City boss admits he's unsure what sort of reception Lee Tomlin will receive from home fans

- Johnson hopes home advantage will play a part, along with the 20,500-plus crowd

- Boss is pleased with City's recent form, citing just three defeats in 25 games

- Johnson quick to congratulate Tammy Abraham on his call-up for the England national team

- He also hopes his international players return from duty unscathed

BAILEY WRIGHT

- City skipper relishing the pressure of a Severnside derby

- Defender says he's enjoyed playing at right-back more than he expected to

- He adds that eight clean sheets so far this season is something he is happy with

- Australian international says excitement is building ahead of the World Cup doubleheader with Honduras
