In brief: Pre-Bolton Wanderers (A)

Dean Holden and Niclas Eliasson gave their views ahead of City's trip to Bolton Wanderers this Saturday (August 11th, 3pm kick-off).

City's assistant head coach took questions on the transfer window, City's result against Nottingham Forest and looked ahead to the trip to the University of Bolton Stadium.

Meanwhile, in-form Eliasson has received praise for his recent performances.

Here's what they had to say:

DEAN HOLDEN

  • Holden said it was great to return to Ashton Gate for last week's 1-1 draw with Forest and noted the amazing atmosphere generated by home supporters
  • He described Bolton as a good team with quality who will have their tails up after their win over West Brom last weekend
  • He added he can't wait to see City in action against them on Saturday
  • The new signings have adapted well and he has been impressed by the club's summer recruitment
  • He did not wish to comment on speculation surrounding City players, with the transfer window closing on Thursday night (August 9th, 5pm)
  • Injury update: Marley Watkins is training again after suffering from concussion, Bailey Wright expected to return to squad training on Friday after a thigh concern

Niclas Eliasson

  • The winger says he has been working hard and feeling good
  • He said he's feeling settled with City, a year on after signing for the club
  • He told the gathered press he just wants to continue improving and to create more opportunities for his teammates
  • Eliasson expects a tough game away to Bolton,¬†adding a win there, following a good point at home last weekend, will be a great start to the season
  • He said he is enjoying his new relationship with Jack Hunt down the right side of the pitch
