Important information for Cardiff away

Fans are reminded not to travel to the Cardiff City Stadium this weekend unless they have a match ticket (August 28th).

The Severnside derby will kick-off at the earlier time of 12.30pm and Nigel Pearson’s squad will be roared on by 2,453 travelling fans.

All spaces on the CATS coaches have sold out.

The club has been advised by South Wales Police that off-licences in the area reserve the right to restrict the sale of alcohol, and licensed premises will not be opening their doors to travelling fans, with some not opening until after the game has kicked-off.

Cardiff City Stadium will therefore open at 10.30am where refreshments, including alcoholic beverages, will be available.

South Wales Police have said the stadium is the only place where away supporters will be able to purchase alcohol before the match. The club has been told that only card/contactless payments will be available. There will be no cash sales.

Supporters are advised that improvements to the railway network in the area mean some services are operating differently including a reduced frequency service between Bristol Temple Meads and Cardiff Central. Buses are also replacing trains between Bristol Temple Meads and Bath Spa.

The Cardiff City Stadium is only a 10-minute walk from the train station itself.

Supporters without a ticket are able to purchase a Robins TV pass, with the match streamed live domestically and overseas.

Robins TV coverage begins at 12pm with all the pre-match build-up, while commentary, replays and analysis will complement the game itself.
