Jay Dasilva wants to pick up where he left off in BS3, after putting pen to paper on a permanent switch from Chelsea.
The young England full-back was a loan signing last season when he quickly won the hearts of the Ashton Gate faithful.
He impressed during his initial spell in Bristol and he can now look forward to playing back in BS3 after signing a four-year contract.
“I’m excited to get going again, pick up where I left off last season,” he told bcfc.co.uk.
“Last season was good for me, I enjoyed it a lot from the moment I stepped into the club and I settled in well with everyone.
“It took me a while to get regular minutes but as soon as I started playing it was an enjoyable experience for me.
“The fans took to me and that was a big thing for me. They really played a key factor in me wanting to come back and sign permanently.
“I’m comfortable at the club, I get on well with the boys, the gaffer and having the fans behind me is a big thing.”
And Dasilva shares the ambitions of the club as he sets his sights on new heights in 2019/20.
He added: “I’m excited for this season and I think we can go better from last year. It’s always the aim to gain promotion and we’re all ready to give more than 100 per cent to achieve that goal.”
Despite being reduced to 12 men in the closing stages of the match, England U20 held on to beat France 29-20 in round two of the Six Nations Summer Series.
