Humphrey awarded community accolade

Carla Humphrey has been recognised as Bristol City Women’s PFA Community Champion for the 2019/20 season.

The award is a recognition of the midfielder’s contribution to the community.

Over the last year Humphrey has worked hard to support the work of City's official charity, Bristol City Robins Foundation, through attending their school holiday football camps and engaging with young people from across the City.

The 23-year-old has continuously acted as a role model both on and off of the pitch and, even when injured, has taken the time to meet and engage with fans. During lockdown Humphrey has also provided messages to fans and young people from across the community to support them during this challenging period.

Chief Executive Officer at the Robins Foundation, Dan White, commented: “Carla has been a credit to the club over the past year and her support for our work in the community is greatly appreciated.”

“Her visit to our school holiday football camps earlier in the year was brilliant and was thoroughly enjoyed by the young people.”
