Dean Holden believes City fans can make Friday another cup night to remember at Ashton Gate.
On the 25-year anniversary of one of City’s greatest FA Cup evenings, when Brian Tinnion scored the only goal at Anfield in 1994, City take on Bolton Wanderers in the Fourth Round with a place in the last 16 on offer.
And Assistant Head Coach Holden said: “The FA Cup is a fantastic competition. I’m sure we have all got our own memories of it, whether you are a supporter, a player or a member of staff. Even the foreign lads this week have been talking about what an amazing competition it is, so we are really looking forward to Friday night under the lights at Ashton Gate.
“Games under the lights take me back to when I was younger and to some of the cup games. You’d have an FA Cup replay, then there would be a second reply - it’s incredible to think how many games players played, but they are the memories I had as a young kid.
“In the last couple of years at Bristol City we have had some really great nights under the lights. I think the fans really look forward to those evening games and Friday will hopefully be the same with a good result at the end of it.”
