City striker Freddie Hinds has won the Carabao Cup Goal of Round Two.
The 18-year-old instigated a stunning second-half fightback at Watford when he fired a right-footed strike into the bottom corner from 25 yards to level the scores.
After scoring from distance for the second cup tie in succession, Hinds’ equaliser paved the way for Bobby Reid to convert Lloyd Kelly’s cross before Niclas Eliasson made the game safe in stoppage time.
Hinds’ second goal in City colours was voted top of the following five goal shortlist from round two.
A. Rolando Aarons - Newcastle United v Nottingham Forest
B. George Evans - Reading v Millwall
C. Demarai Gray - Sheffield United v Leicester City
D. Freddie Hinds - Watford v Bristol City
E. Scott Hogan - Aston Villa v Wigan Athletic
City will now host Premier League side Stoke City in the third round on Tuesday, September 19th (7.45pm).
Hinds is currently on loan at Cheltenham Town until January 1st, alongside fellow City team-mates Joe Morrell and Taylor Moore.
