Watch the key moments from the DW Stadium as Jamie Paterson and Famara Diédhiou struck late on to secure all three points for the Robins.
Despite the hosts dominant possession-based display, half-time substitute Paterson exchanged passes with Diédhiou before slotting the ball under David Marshall to give the Robins a 76th-minute lead.
The pair then combined just two minutes later, with Paterson lofting the ball into the Senegal striker’s path, who placed the ball into the far corner.
Diédhiou had earlier been denied by the crossbar, while the Latics were wasteful in part due to the fine display of Daniel Bentley, who would earn a clean sheet on the road.
The win is City’s first victory of 2020, heading into the Emirates FA Cup third round replay on Tuesday night.
The Grand Appeal is gearing up for a bumper summer of fundraising across Bristol and the South West as it marks the 25th Anniversary of the iconic dress-down event, Wallace & Gromit’s Wrong Trousers Day.
