Ádám Nagy and Benik Afobe grabbed their first goals for the club to help City secure all three points at home to QPR.
The goals came in both halves, the opener from Nagy who continued to impress on his Ashton Gate debut. He fired City ahead with a low half-volley before Afobe doubled the Robins’ lead just before the hour-mark.
QPR keeper Joe Lumley was to blame as his mis-kick allowed Andreas Weimann to capitalise, who found Afobe to strike home and secure City's first first win of the campaign.
Lee Johnson's men travel to face Derby County on Tuesday (August 20th, 7.45pm) in Sky Bet Championship, with tickets still on general sale.
