The Robins Foundation’s Shared Duty Club welcomes its newest member Handkrafted Campers.
Established in 2018, Handkrafted Campers is a campervan conversion business owned by Issey and Shelly. The name, Handkrafted Campers, derives from their building style. Each build is bespoke with particular attention to detail. Issey and Shelly value the quality and the longevity of their campervan builds. A lot of the wood they use is reclaimed and they spend much of their time giving this wood life again. They said, “Each build is a labour of love and our clients feel it.”
Both business owners love football. For Issey in particular, football has played a significant part in her life. She said, “Football brings people of all walks of life together. There is a spirit to the game. My friend, Mark, coaches the Bristol City Robins DS team and we’ve both stepped in to help on the odd Sunday. We saw and felt the joy and skill of the kids there.”
Issey and Shelly offer a donation with each van built. As a result of seeing the work of the Robins Foundation during the training on Sundays, they feel it is the right decision to offer their donations to the charity’s DS team. They expressed the importance of community and how vital it is stating, “We believe as a community we can make each other stronger.”

Our Shared Duty Club focuses on bringing the corporate world and the local community together. Additionally, we aim to provide opportunities for young person-based organisations to form partnerships with the Robins Foundation, whilst increasing positive changes in our community.
Both corporate companies and community organisations can become members of the Shared Duty Club. Throughout the year, member organisations will be invited to a number of activations ranging from exclusive events, through to engagement in community projects.
The Shared Duty Club works with companies to help them implement their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and employee engagement strategies in addition to providing voluntary opportunities within our community projects and linking community organisations together.
